These chunky socks are knitted using a rare traditional machine with thick recycled cotton yarns that are often used for hand-knitting.
Similar in style to the "Low Gauge Slub Crew" for this version Rototo decided to use recycled cotton yarn developed by a yarn company which is also in Nara Prefecture. This environmentally-minded product is made out of cotton waste from spinneries in Japan by re-spinning it with unique techniques.
Due to the characteristics of the old-style knitting machine, no two socks will look the same. This product may have loose yarns around the seams. This is not caused by broken yarns and does not affect product quality.
