Daybrook Shirt - Ikat Twill Plaid

We can rely on the good people of Universal Works to select fabrics that appeal to our textile nerdiness. This shirt is a prime example of them nailing it!
Ikat is a method for creating patterns and colouring on fabric by resist dyeing. The special thing about Ikat is that the pattern is not applied to the surface of a finished fabric, nor is it woven into the fabric structurally. Instead, parts of the yarns for the warp and/or weft are protected with a resist before dyeing.
Woven for Universal Works in Southern India, this ikat weave check makes for soft and luxurious artisanal shirting.
