John Jean is a modern take on 1940s workwear. Featuring a high waist and flat front with an adjustable side fastening. The zip is concealed in the side pocket. The striped selvedge edge is used as a detail on the pockets and belt loops. The leg is a loose cut and slightly tapers at the hem. John Jean is designed to be worn slightly cropped at the ankle bone.

Sarah has known the love of fabric and garment making for as long as she can remember. It started with dolls clothes, moved on to teen fashion and grew steadily from there. After studying fashion in Auckland, Sarah took her first job as a workroom assistant at RCM clothing, makers of Street life and Workshop. She then worked as a designer and pattern maker.
