When it comes to denim, Japan is leading the way in premium production. When it comes to blue jeans Levi's have been in the biz for over 150 years so they know how to design a beautiful pair.
The 512 fit is a slim taper cut, with a little more room on the thigh and then a smart taper to the ankle. A modern and more tailored approach compared to it's older brother the 501.
Selvedge denim in a dark wash is used for these jeans, they are made in Japan and will get better with age, fades, wear and tear!

Selvedge denim is slowly woven on a shuttle loom, a traditional way of producing fabric. The denim produced is of a much higher quality than that produced by modern weaving machines. It is a time consuming process which is part of the reason why it is more premium and expensive than non selvedge denim.
