In 1880 The Loake business is established by three brothers, John, William, and Thomas. It was first set up in an outbuilding at Thomas Loake's house at 62 King Street in Kettering, Northamptonshire. In 1894, Loake moved to Wood Street, where it can still be found today. Five generations and more than 140 years later, the Loake legacy of fine, handmade footwear lives on.

Built on the traditional 024 last, they have a comfortable fit with a classic rounded profile that has long been a hallmark of Loake design. Featuring Goodyear welted "Dainite" rubber-studded soles, which have the added benefit of resoling for extended life. Designed and engineered in Kettering, Northamptonshire, and handmade in England, these beautiful shoes reflect Loake’s enduring commitment to traditional British craftsmanship and style.
