C.P. Company - Pigment Dyed 1/2 Placket Sweatshirt

In 1971, legendary designer Massimo Osti founded Chester Perry, specialising in graphic T-shirts and experimenting with fabrics and finishes. In 1978, Chester Perry became C.P. Company, allowing Osti to create avant-garde collections with new shapes and colour applications.

Thanks to the use of innovative techniques, such as garment dyeing, capable of conferring a distinctive aged effect, Massimo Osti's creations stood out for their uniqueness.

In the late 1970s, a "Casuals" subculture emerged in the stands of British football stadiums, characterised by the adoption of Italian brands discovered by fans while travelling in Europe. Among these, iconic CP Company pieces, such as the Goggle Jacket, became symbols of the movement.

This beautiful pigment-dyed sweatshirt is a vintage piece from the brand. We know this because it doesn't have the now signature "magnifier" anywhere on the garment. It has a chunky rib on the cuffs and neck and a cotton twill placket with a 4-button closure.
