This Western-style vest is made in the USA from Filson's signature 24oz Mackinaw wool fabric - thick and tightly woven for maximum durability and insulation. The notched lapels and pointed hem are a nod of respect to the bold pioneers who settled the West. Vests, known as waistcoats in Britain, were considered a requirement for proper attire in those days. The front pockets were sized and located for quick access to timepieces.
