The company we know today as Lee Jeans, began life as the H.D. Lee Corporation, based out of Kansas. Mr. Henry David Lee launched his business venture back in 1889 as a grocery wholesaler that used the new network of railroads to ship fresh produce across previously impassable distances.
Lee stumbled into workwear after he had trouble sourcing adequate supplies from his Eastern workwear suppliers and began producing overalls for his workers in-house. Overalls became coveralls, coveralls became locomotive jackets—and finally jeans and denim jackets.
This beautiful flannel shirt is soft and broken in, with classic Western Shirt details throughout. It features a Snap button closure, pointed yokes on the front/ back and pockets. The fabric has a subtle herringbone pattern running through it.
