Polo Ralph Lauren - "Blake" Madras S/S Shirt

An Icon of American fashion, founded in 1967, Ralph Lauren is a household name at this point. The brand combines collegiate classics, western-wear, modern downtown styles and all-American sporting looks.

Madras is a very traditional Indian textile, handwoven with yarns dyed with natural pigments. The result of such hand-crafting is a fabric that is "guaranteed to bleed" (as Brooks Brothers marketed it in the 60s) and produce the incredible muted tones after years of wear and washing.

This shirt features their "Blake" silhouette seen throughout the 90s and early 2000s, characterised by the relaxed fit, loose sleeve, and button-down collar. It features a button front closure, button-down collar and the iconic Polo horse embroidery in bright green on the chest.
