Garrett Leight is an American eyewear designer and the founder of Garrett Leight California Optical (GLCO). Born in 1984 in Venice, California, he is the son of Larry Leight, the legendary co-founder of Oliver Peoples.
Founded in Cologne in 1898, RIMOWA transformed from a traditional saddlery into a luxury travel staple. The brand is famous for its pioneering use of lightweight metals and the iconic parallel-grooved design first introduced in 1950, which was directly inspired by early aviation engineering.
The two brands come together to celebrate 10 years of GLCO with a special edition collection inspired by the sun-soaked surf culture and psychedelic art scene of the Californian coast. These are a pair of sunglasses from the collab. Crafted with specially made metal nose pads, a sculpted top bar, spring hinges, and co-branding details throughout, this frame is truly reflective of the RIMOWA and GLCO gold standard.
Comes with a custom grooved polycarbonate eyewear case inspired by RIMOWA's iconic luggage design. At launch, these had an RRP of $470 USD.
