The grandfather of blue jeans, most of the globe recognises the little red tab stitched on the side of the back pocket. Founded in 1853, Levi's is an American Heritage brand with indigo and denim being part of their DNA.
When you close your eyes and think of a denim jacket, the Levi's Type III is probably what you are thinking of. An icon since 1967, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more versatile garment. Produced in Aotearoa during the 1990s when Levi's licensed production to domestic manufacturers to avoid tariffs. Closer to the original 60s version than what you find in a store today, it lacks hand warmer pockets and features a slightly shorter body. The rigid denim has a green cast to it and features the perfect, authentic vintage wash.
