Delving deep into the past and deconstructing garments from as early as the 1880s for inspiration, Stevenson Overall Co reinvents classic pieces for the 21st Century. The brand started out in Indiana in the 1920s and was relaunched in 2005 by Zip Stevenson and Atsu Tagaya, providing the best outlet for their combined talents as designers, and collectors/ dealers of vintage denim and workwear.
The "Big Sur" 210 jeans are made in Japan from a 12oz black x black sanforized selvedge denim from Kuroki Mills. They feature a slim-fitting silhouette with a slight taper down to the hem, decorative stitching on the back pockets at the top and V-shaped belt loops.
This has been repaired in-house by Indigo and Provisions. A blown-out knee has been patched with upcycled Nudie Jeans slub denim. It has been entirely hand-stitched with Japanese sashiko thread.
