Brooks Brothers - Repaired Supima Oxford Check Shirt

Brooks Brothers is a high-end luxury American fashion company founded in 1818 and is the oldest apparel brand in continuous operation in the United States. In its early history, Brooks Brothers was known for introducing the ready-to-wear suit to American customers. They even hired a young Ralph Lauren to be a sales associate at their Madison Avenue store in the mid-60s just prior to launching his namesake label, who knew!

This shirt is an absolute classic with its casual styling and blue/white check. The oxford check fabric has been woven from Supima cotton yarn, a US-grown long staple fibre that is beloved for its softness and durability. It features mother-of-pearl buttons along the button front closure and button-down collar.

This has been repaired in-house by Indigo and Provisions. A stain has been cut out and patched internally with upcycled Ralph Lauren chambray fabric; the edges were then reinforced with sashiko-style hand stitching.
