The Waialua Short Sleeve Sweatshirt is the newest addition to the Sunray line-up. Think Stalone in Rocky, this garment is a must-have for any vintage sportswear enthusiast.
All Sunray products are knitted on an antique loopwheel machine, of which there are only two remaining in the world, with this particular one being in Japan. The machine is analogue, taking over 1 hour to produce just 1m of jersey. Further loving care is then given by Japanese artisans, true masters of their trade, who turn the jersey into the beautiful product you see here.
These premium sweatshirts have a traditional fit inspired by vintage sportswear of the 50's. Relaxed, boxier and slightly shorter than a modern fit. The collar, rib-design and fabrics are also traditional and heavyweight. We love the cut-off sleeve detail!
These are old-school looking, tried-and-true sweatshirts with quality at a level it should be. Buy one and wear it for the next 50 years!
