Gubb & Mackie - Navy Twill Chino

Founded in 1949 as Naval Tailors, the Gubb & Mackie trademark was purchased from its original owners by Murray Crane (of Crane Brothers fame) and reintroduced in 2015. Creatively led by none other than Jordan Gibson (of Checks Downtown fame), the label's second life was ultimately cut short in 2017. That being said, the quality of the pieces they produced can not be understated, some of the highest quality garments produced in New Zealand.

These trousers are the perfect example of how workwear and tailoring can be combined in a garment. You have the sturdy twill of workwear paired with the construction and smartness of tailoring. Dress it up or down, however you like, but wear it with pride as an example of NZ design excellence.
