Gubb & Mackie - Prince of Wales Check Shirt

Founded in 1949 as Naval Tailors, the Gubb & Mackie trademark was purchased from its original owners by Murray Crane (of Crane Brothers fame) and reintroduced in 2015. Creatively led by none other than Jordan Gibson (of Checks Downtown fame), the label's second life was ultimately cut short in 2017. That being said, the quality of the pieces they produced can not be understated; there are some of the highest quality garments produced in New Zealand.

This shirt is crafted from 100% cotton, adorned in a classic Prince of Wales check and constructed using single-needle tailoring techniques. The cherry on top for this piece is the off-white mother-of-pearl buttons on the front closure and cuffs.
