Thorogood - Roofer 6" Monkey Boot

In 1892, Albert Weinbrenner, a first-generation German immigrant, took over his father’s cobbler shop in Milwaukee. The small business catered to the city’s workers and tradespeople, and Albert, who had begun apprenticing at age 13, believed he was on to something with his vision for “job-fitted” footwear. Today, Thorogood has expanded to three Wisconsin factories and beyond, and remains steadfast in crafting footwear in the USA.

These heritage boots from their Roofer Line are made from premium "Portage Leather" (a full-grain performance leather that withstands long wear). It is a lace-to-toe boot (monkey boot) originally worn by power line workers. The boots have triple stitch details, rivets, and a Vibram outsole.
