In 1994, Swiss couple Edwin and Salomée Faeh were granted a license to create lines of clothing for the European market under the name Carhartt Work in Progress (WIP). Carhartt WIP is much more of a streetwear label than its American counterpart.
A staple of 20th-century Ivy culture, varsity jackets maintain a strong hold in the minds of vintage aficionados. Inspired by the iconic style, the Montana jacket by Carhartt's European sibling (Work in Progress) is crafted from a crisp nylon taffeta and is fully lined in a wadded quilted fabric. It features pockets on the front, striped rib trim and a script logo on the chest.
