Founded in 1997 in Okayama, Japan, Pure Blue Japan stands out for its innovations in weaving and dyeing denim. Their use of custom textiles has given them a strong reputation amongst denim devotees.

The Asagi Selvedge Denim pushes the boundaries of Pure Blue Japan’s extensive denim catalogue. Made using the brand’s signature 16.5oz slub selvedge denim, these jeans feature a unique multi-layer dye process: the indigo warp yarns are sulfur-dyed with a blue-jadeite pigment and woven with a sulfur-dyed black weft to produce a truly distinctive colour. With wear, the jeans reveal a varied, high-contrast fade that highlights the fabric’s rich slub texture and grain. Finished with signature Pure Blue Japan detailing and exclusive collaboration touches like a custom leather patch and Blue Owl embroidery styled after PBJ’s indigofera leaf logo. 

This pair features the Regular Straight fit with a mid rise.
